Some Important Properties of Semiconductors
Why does the resistivity
of semiconductor go down with temperature ?
Between
the conductor and semiconductor resistivity difference is due to the different
density of charge carriers.
Lower resistivity and temperature of semiconductor, because an increase in the number of charge carriers increase temperature quickly, make some change or negative temperature coefficient.
1. Semiconductor in
absolute zero as insulators. Raise the temperature, it is a conductor.
2.Because
of its special electrical performance, semiconductor by doping modification of
semiconductor devices for energy conversion, switch and amplifier.
3.Low
power loss.
4.Semiconductor,
smaller size and with less weight.
5.Their
resistivity is higher than that of a conductor, but less than insulators.
6.The
resistance of semiconductor materials decreases with the increase in and vice
versa.
