FPC circuit board manufacturing process

Flow chart of single-sided FPC circuit board: engineering documents - copper foil - Pretreatment - press dry film - exposure - Development - etching - film stripping - AOI - Pretreatment - coating film (or ink printing) - pretreatment before electroplating - electroplating - post electroplating - reinforcement - appearance punching - electrical measurement - appearance inspection - shipment;
Flow chart of double-sided board: engineering documents -- copper foil -- drilling -- black space (PTH) -- Copper Plating -- pretreatment -- press dry film -- exposure -- Development -- etching -- film stripping -- AOI -- pretreatment -- coating film (or ink printing) -- pretreatment before electroplating -- electroplating -- post electroplating treatment -- press reinforcement -- appearance punching -- electrical measurement -- appearance inspection -- shipment. For the above processes, the most fine line width and line distance is 50um;
There is also a manufacturing process, which is rarely used in the industry at present, because fine lines can not be done, and it is only suitable for single panel manufacturing: engineering documents - Film - making screen - copper foil - etching ink printing - UV drying - etching - film stripping - solder resist printing - nickel plating - punching - Inspection - out;
FPC cutting - double sided FPC manufacturing process
Except for some materials, the materials used in flexible printed boards are basically coiled. Because not all processes must be processed by tape winding process, some processes must be cut into sheets before processing, such as the drilling of metallized holes of double-sided flexible printed boards, which can only be drilled in sheet form at present, the first process of double-sided flexible printed boards is cutting.
The flexible copper-clad laminate has poor bearing capacity to external forces and is easy to be injured. If it is damaged during cutting, it will have a serious impact on the qualification rate of subsequent processes. Therefore, even if it seems to be a very simple cutting, enough attention must be paid to ensure the quality of materials. If the quantity is relatively small, manual shears or hob cutters can be used. In large quantities, automatic shears can be used.
